Jeffrey Shield LTCL(Dist.), ATCL (Dist.) is a 11-year-old pianist from Perth, Western Australia, started piano lessons at 6.5 years old with Dr. Dobromiła Jaskot from Poland, continuing until 2022. Since January 2023, he has continued his musical education with Ivy Chan at the YSL Music School, where he is currently preparing for the FTCL (Fellowship diploma-level) in piano performance.
By the age of 9, Jeffrey earned the ATCL Piano Performance Diploma from Trinity College London with Distinction. At age 10, he achieved the LTCL Piano Performance Diploma, also with Distinction making him one of the youngest Australians to reach this level of accomplishment.
In the past 4.5 years, Jeffrey has won many awards. He earned the top Grand Prize and special awards at the 2nd International Paderewski's Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Poland and won 4th Prize at the 31st International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, Poland. He also claimed 1st Place at the prestigious Orbetello International Online Piano Competition in Italy and won 1st Prize in the Junior B category at the WPTA Spain International Piano Competition 2024. In Australia, he took first places and special awards in several competitions, including the Fremantle Eisteddfod, Bunbury Eisteddfod, West Australian Pianist Competition (WAPC), North of Perth Music Festival, Fastest Learner Competition of 2023 and 2024, and Ashdale Got Talent 2022.
Jeffrey has performed at prestigious events, such as for former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in 2022 in Perth and the WAGSMS concert at the Crown Theatre in 2023, which had an audience of over 2,000 people. In 2024, he went on a multi-city concert tour in Poland, showcasing his talent to local and international audiences.
